The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family "oh-so-much" easier when we travel for business. I hate to leave my child behind so this would help me bring her along!

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family "oh-so-much" easier when my we travel for the first time on a train, across country, to Oregon from Michigan in November with my 20 month old son and 81 year old dad! My mother passed away and always wanted to travel across country on a train and never had the chance.
We all could enjoy the trip better if I don't have to be wrestling the baby in my lap just in case I have to help my father with something. Also In this way, all of us could enjoy the views of the fall scenery because, my son is 20 months old and it would help him sit comfortably and higher up with both of us next to him safely while traveling the good ol' U.S. Northwest in memorance of Grandma. "oh-so-much" easier!

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we travel with all three toddlers and need car seats on the other end! It would mean that one out of the three carseats we are schlepping is a breeze to bring along.

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we go ANYWHERE!!!! This seat is just what we're looking for! We need a booster seat for a child that will sit well in the middle back bench seat in order for us to fit our 5 children in our minivan since our middle bench seat is a lap only seat belt. I am due with our 5th and we'll have 5 aged newborn to 10yrs old and need to fit in our van. I kept saying to my husband..if only they had a booster that harnessed longer!

The go hybrid would make every day so much easier with my family. Daddy does daycare drop off, mama does pickup. Moving the bulky car seats each day is hard and takes up precious time that I have with my kids.

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we take our last family vacation to Aruba right before my husband deploys to the Middle East :(. It will be a long trip for a 2 1/2 year old (and us as we are coming from the West coast) and a VERY special trip for all of us to spend some quality time together. It will also come in handy when I have to travel solo with my son to meet my husband when he has leave sometime next year. The Britax carseat we used last trip resulted in a heavy load and my son kicking the seat in front of us. Plus, I think this would be great for cabs and shuttles in Aruba.

Thanks for sharing your review. I am considering buying this seat when I go to the USA in September. I just wish I was eligible to go in the contest

get in to our destination (via a 16-hour flight) late and find out that whatever arrangements we had to ensure our 2-year-old's safety did not come through. We jaunted to a developing country where the laws were not as stringent as the US. Good thing we had this car seat! It was one of the few stress-free moments of the trip!!!

…..have our luggage lost while traveling abroad and don't have our checked car seats show up. Recently during a trip to Italy, I packed our car seats because I wanted a 5 point harness system for our kids and didn't want to rely on Italian car seats having them. Our luggage diddn't turn up and we had to rent car seats, and they didn't have the 5 point harness.

“The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we take our first trip out of the country! This will be the first time traveling out of the country for our brood of three and the addition of the Safety 1st Go Hybrid travel car seat would be an asset to our kid toting cargo! We have been all around the country from D.C. to San Francisco, Florida twice (Disney to Daytona to Tampa), and Pennsylvania–with travels by highway and air and have used/own the FAA approved Baby B'air Flight Vest, Sit-and-Stroll, and Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL. Having three children ages 1,4,and 8 all in car seats with side impact protection it is particularly important that the safety of my children is not compromised because of travel. The Safety 1st Go Hybrid Car Seat would be an asset as it provides the security of a 5-point harness with the convenience of LATCH use and unmatched lightweight portability–unarguably a PLUS when traveling with children! Well done Safety 1st!

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we…travel across the country to visit our families. We live in Phoenix and both sides of family live back east.

Traveling is tough with toddlers anyway…and this seat would be a God-send. Right now it is important that we go back at every opportunity. I want my mother to see her grandchildren as often as possible, since she is in the early stages of Alzheimer's.

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we fly back home to California! We are moving to NYC this year and will be away from family for at least a couple of years. The cross-country commute is a must. We are also doing away with the car since it is so expensive to have.

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we… have our second baby in Sept! We already have to haul one car seat around for trips and the idea of hauling two is daunting! This sounds like a great solution for our toddler!

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we travel cross country to see the grandparents dozens of extended family who love and want to see him.  A portable car seat means we can jump in whatever car is available, and let our son go on adventures with his aunts, uncles and cousins.

travel to Phoenix to see my brother and my parents. I usually fly alone, and the Sit N Stroll is so bulky to get on an airplane. The last time we went we borrowed a carseat from my brother's neighbor, and it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to work the buckle. This would be so much easier and lighter!

The Safety 1st Go Hybrid Booster would make traveling to see our out-of-state relatives and also our out-of-country relatives so much easier. I love the fact that it's portable and has it's own travel bag! It'll also be great to use as a second car seat when my sister comes to visit us–she has a 2 year old and would love not having to worry about carrying a car seat on the plane when she and her husband visit us.

…travel in foreign countries. We've been to Greece with an 18 month old and Jamaica with a two-year-old and a 7 month old, and both times it was very difficult, if not impossible, to find a rental car with car seats. In Jamaica, the people staffing the rental counter actually went to someone's house to borrow one, and we were stuck in the airport for several hours waiting… and they charged us extra for it! So hard to find car seats abroad, and we're planning to do some major traveling with kids in the near future… Ecuador is coming up in January!

…fly to Florida to visit my in-laws. Otherwise I'm not sure what we're going to do about car seats! Our kids are 21 and 6 months old so our hands are always full when we're traveling! It would also be great to keep in our van which has a built in car seat. Then if we need to put the kids in another vehicle we won't be stuck with one car seat too few.

Sara – It MAY pass for carry-on with some airlines, but the "cow catchers" for carry-on vary by airlines so I wouldn't count on it. If/when it gets onboard, it should fit in the overhead bin of most planes. Regardless, the carrying bag makes it easy to check at the gate – a good idea to help protect against damage in the luggage system and improve your odds that it will meet you on the other end of your flight!

Linda – You are correct that this seat can't be used as a high-back booster. I think their point is that you can use it longer with a 5-point harness instead (to 65 lbs.), which some consider safer than a shoulder belt. It does give you the flexibility to use it in a middle seat position though, or one without a shoulder belt, which a booster does not.

“The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we go to visiting out-of-town relatives. When driving to see grandparents we could easily "pack a spare" for them to use in their car without having to remove our son's primary seat from our vehicle. And when traveling internationally to see family, we could "pack" this seat as luggage and not have to worry as much about cracking the frame. I couldn't find specs, but I think it might fit as a carry-on!

The Go Hybrid Portable Car Seat would make travel for my family oh-so-much easier when we have to lug a carseat to our carshare car, or take a carseat along when visiting family!

This would be great for trips to my parents, when Grandma and Grandpa ride with us and we're shuffling carseats constantly. I moved our seats three times last weekend.

If I'm reading the review correctly, this can be converted to a backless booster, but not a high-back booster? If so, that's a definite downside to this particular seat.
