|The Go Hybrid portable car seat|
Of all my favorite products for travel with babies, toddlers, and young children in general, I think the Safety 1st Go Hybrid booster and car seat gets highest marks for longevity. It can be used from when your child is 22 lbs. and 34 inches tall (ready to ride forward-facing) on up to 65 lbs. and 57 inches with the 5-point safety harness. And then? It converts to a backless booster.

Not only is the Go Hybrid ideal for those of us carpooling with kids, but when it’s time to travel? It folds up and slips into its own travel bag, ready to check through with your suitcase or even place in the overhead bin with carry-on bags. While the Go Hybrid is not ideal for every travel situation–you must have a top tether anchor in the vehicle to use it, and it is not for use in aircraft–it is perfectly suited for almost every car travel situation your family might face with your child from approximately 1.5 years on up to when you are finally finished using it as a backless booster.
