Shelly Rivoli is an author, blogger, and freelance writer based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
She created TravelswithBaby.com over a decade ago and has published the Travels with Baby blog as an extension of the site since 2007. She's received many accolades for her blogging, including both Bronze and Silver awards for "Independent Travel Blog" from the North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA). TravelswithBaby.com was also honored twice as a Finalist in the Red Tricycle Totally Awesome Awards for "Best Travel Sites for Families."
Shelly's changed diapers on four continents, and—not coincidentally—she served as spokesperson for the Huggies Kimberly-Clark Hawaiian Diaper campaign in 2012, which helped bring more than 20 million diapers to Canadian and US families in need.
Her family travel wisdom and advice has been sought by major media and featured in print outlets including The Boston Globe, L.A. Times, and numerous parenting and consumer magazines including Parents, Parenting, Pregnancy, Fit Pregnancy, TimeOut New York Kids, and American Baby. She was also a recurring TV guest on ABC 7’s View from the Bay.
Her most recent guidebook, Travels with Baby: The Ultimate Guide for Planning Travel with Your Baby, Toddler, and Preschooler (2014), received the NATJA Gold Prize in Travel Books and a Lowell Thomas Award from the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation.
In 2014, she launched FamilyTravel411.com, which focuses on travel with school-age children, of which she now has three.
